Domains & Hosting

A Domain Name is how your customers find you through the internet. Whether its going to your website at www.mycompany.co.uk, or sending you emails through info@mycompany.co.uk. Acquiring the right domain(s) for your business is key to success. Domains can be purchased from Domain Name Registrars, and can often only take a matter of minutes to organise. HOWEVER, many web and email hosting companies offer free domain registration in conjunction with their web hosting solution.

That is why we advise our customers to talk to us before purchasing either a domain, or selecting a hosting supplier. We can help you work out, what domain or domains, you may need and in conjunction with understanding your requirements for Clean Cut HTML or data driven solutions, advise you on the most cost effective domain registration and hosting solution. Why spend money buying domains, if a hosting provider will give you them for free?

The cost to you

In response to many of our customers wanting sensibly priced hosting, we are now able to offer domain name registration and web site hosting directly. Unlike many hosting packages we aren't putting any limits on our hosting packages and will add our own quotation for hosting along with those of the other providers so our customers can make their own choice.

The new service is separate service, so our customers do not have to take our hosting and our web design services, our customers can choose either, or both of the services.

As part of our free consultation service, we don't charge you anything for helping you choose your domains and hosting provider, and once you've chosen the next steps are up to you. We can either:

• Let you purchase your web hosting and domains directly with a supplier of your choice so that the arrangement does not involve A1 IT Web Design, or
• We can purchase the domains and hosting on your behalf
• We will soon be adding an automated domain availability checker.

Even if we purchase the domain / hosting on your behalf, we don't charge for the administration time , as long as you have chosen one of our web design solutions.
