Data Driven versus standard HTML

Our standard Clean Cut HTML web design service, will suit many of our customers, including our own range of services. However, we recognise that many businesses operate in a dynamic, constantly changing environment, where products are in stock, and out of stock, or vary based on the season.

For customers with a more dynamic business, we can produce a cost effective data or content driven solution. So whether your a restaurant, wanting to advertise you range of weekly specials, or a shop wanting to advertise your range of seasonal products, our data driven solutions can help.

How it works

Data Driven websites only create the HTML seen in the browser, when a customer requests it. Your product details are held on the server, and our data driven solution sends the information back as needed. Many web hosting companies charge additional fees for hosting databases and data driven solution solution software, even though many of the tools needed are provided on the standard hosting packages.

All of our data driven solutions come with a Content Management Solution to allow our customers to directly update the data for the site, without needing to use our maintenance services or edit any HTML

We can work with you to determine what you need, and the most cost effective way of achieving it. At A1 IT Web Design we have developed our own data storage solution to work with standard web hosting packages, to avoid small and medium sized businesses having to pay for database solutions that aren't necessary for the size of their site. Or, for larger businesses we can put a front end on your database of choice including Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL.

In order to provide the access to the data for internet users, we can work with your choice of ASP .Net solution or a PHP solution depending on your hosting providers support and hosting fees.

At A1 IT Web Design we put our customers first. We won't sell you an unnecessary solution that requires you to update your hosting package if a lower cost package can provide the functionality you need. We also won't recommend a data driven website if it will cost more than you could save over our maintenance packages, so you can rest assured that we will sell you the solutions you want in the most cost effective way possible.
